Common-Law Admission Test (CLAT)
The Common law admission test (CLAT) is the dream examination of every student who is planning to carry forward his studies in the department of law after 12th. The Common law admission test (CLAT) is a national level entrance examination to get admission into one of the 22 National Law Universities (NLUs) across the country.
CLAT encounters more than 70,000 applicants every year and the number of applicants is on a constant rise.
The total number of intake through CLAT is just 2,300, and these 2,300 seats are spread across the 22 participating NLUs.
Most of these NLUs have a 100% placement record for its pass-outs. The average annual package of some top NLUs like NLU, Bangalore, NALSAR, Hyderabad and WBNUJS, Kolkata touches tens of lakhs. These institutes are heaven particularly for those students whose aim is to go in the corporate sector.
Till 2019 the CLAT examination included 200 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) and the total allotted time was 120 minutes.
Age limit - There is no upper age limit.
Date of exam - CLAT 2020 is expected to be held in August 2020.
CLAT 2020 - New Pattern
CLAT 2020 will be a 2-hour test, with 150 multiple-choice questions carrying 1 mark each. There will be negative marking of 0.25 marks for every wrong answer.

All India Law Entrance Test (AILET)
AILET is the entrance examination for admission into National Law University, Delhi. The NLU, Delhi is the only NLU out of the 23 present NLUs in the country that doesn’t adhere to CLAT score and conducts its own national level entrance test named ‘All India Law entrance test (AILET)’.
More than 20,000 applicants appear for AILET every year for admission to a meagre 80 seats.
The NLU, Delhi has scored stupendously in Placements of its students with a 100% placement of its 2019 batch, with a whooping median salary of almost 14 lakhs per annum. The total time allotted in AILET is 90 minutes and the total number of questions is 150 (MCQs).
An all India entrance examination is conducted for admissions to NLU Delhi for its undergraduate degree. The exam is conducted by National Law University Delhi.
Total Seats - 70
Negative marks – There is a negative marking of 0.25 for every wrong answer.
Exam Date - The date of AILET 2020 - Tentative August 9, 2020.
The exam will be conducted in pen and paper mode.

Symbiosis Law Admission Test (SLAT)
The Symbiosis Law Entrance Test is a common admission test for admission to the four Symbiosis law schools (SLS) situated each in Pune, Noida, Hyderabad and Nagpur.
After the inception of SLS Nagpur recently, it will also participate in SLAT, 2020. The total number of seats for the law undergraduate course is 900.
The Written aptitude test (WAT) is followed by Personal Interview (PI) for final selection.

Mode of the Exam
The mode of the examination will be online and it will be held across 85 different cities of India.
The duration of the SLAT exam was 90 minutes for the objective test and 30 minutes is assigned for Written Ability Test.
Each question has only four responses.
No negative marking applicable for wrong answers.
Law School Admission Test ( LSAT India )
LSAT is a national level entrance examination for admission into various deemed law schools in the country. The test is conducted by the Law School Admission Council (LSAC).
LSAT is a standardized entrance exam for admission to five years integrated law course, three years LL.B, LL.M and PhD.
An all India entrance examination conducted for admissions to Jindal Global Law School, UPES Dehradun, SRM University, Amity Law School for admissions to their undergraduate degree.
A total of 48 private colleges takes admission through LSAT score. Some top institutes that acknowledge LSAT score are Rajiv Gandhi School of Intellectual property law, IIT Kharagpur, O.P. Jindal Global law school and UPES, Dehradun.
In India, LSAT is conducted once a year and the exam duration is 2 hours 20 minutes.

An all India entrance examination is conducted for admissions to GLC Mumbai, ILS, Pune, Dr DY Patil College of Law Navi Mumbai, Dr Ambedkar College of Law Mumbai and others for admissions to their undergraduate degree.
