Debasish Roychowdhury has joined Skechers South Asia Pvt Ltd as Senior General Manager and Head - Legal, Company Secretary and Compliance.

Roychowdhury is a 2017 graduate of Sarsuna Law College. He earned his LLM in Corporate and Financial Law from Jindal Global Law School. He is a member of The Institute of Company Secretaries of India.

He has 23 years of leadership experience across Manufacturing, FMCG, Beverages, Consulting, MNCs, IT/ITES, BFSI, GCCs, Fintech, Retail, and Lifestyle sectors, in General Counsel, Chief Legal Officer & Company Secretary roles. He has expertise in Corporate Governance, Regulatory Compliance, Enterprise Risk & Ethics, Data Protection & Privacy, ESG, Cyber & Technology Law, AI Governance, Fintech & Payments Regulation, IPR Strategy and Employment Law. He has led mandates involving M&A, corporate restructuring, private equity and global investor engagements, FDI/FEMA structuring, RBI compounding, IPO readiness, SEBI/LODR compliance, capital markets and large-scale fundraising initiatives.

Prior to joining Skechers, Roychowdhury was a General Counsel In-Solutions Global Ltd for three and half years.
