Former Cyril Amarchand Partner Mekhla Anand joins Krishnomics Legal

Anand was heading the indirect tax practice at Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas.

Mekhla Anand is set to join Krishnomics Legal as a Partner after close to six years with Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas, where she was heading the indirect tax practice.

Anand is a 2003 graduate of National Law School of India University, Bangalore (NLSIU).

With close to 19 years of experience, Anand began her career with one of the Big 4s - PricewatehouseCoopers India, where she worked for four years, after which she was associated with the erstwhile Amarchand Mangaldas as Principal Associate for over seven years. She then joined CAM as a Partner.

Anand is known for her expertise in the areas of cross-border structuring, turnkey contracts, mergers and acquisitions as well as tax litigation. She has regularly represented clients before various indirect tax authorities and specifically before the Customs, Excise and Service Tax Appellate Tribunal (CESTAT) and Sales Tax Appellate Tribunals in relation to indirect tax disputes.

Anand will be working out of the firm's head office in Delhi.
