Debasmita Gupta has joined Orkla India, the company owning MTR, Eastern and Rasoi Magic brands, as a General Counsel.

Gupta graduated from Symbiosis Law School, Pune, in 2004.

With over two decades of experience as an in-house legal & compliance professional, Gupta has held positions at global as well as Indian MNCs across multiple industries including manufacturing, retail, alcoholic beverages, pharmaceuticals, management consulting, analytics. Her expertise lies in general corporate advisory, mergers & acquisitions, litigation management, statutory compliance, contract management, real estate, intellectual property, investigations and process & policy development.

Prior to joining Orkla India, Gupta was a Group General Counsel at Himatsingka Group for the past year.
