Hindustan Unilever Senior Counsel Suchana Mukherjee has joined Danone as General Counsel India and Director- GS for CS, Regulatory, Public Affairs and Corporate Communications.

Mukherjee is a 2009 graduate of the University of Calcutta. She earned her LLM from National Law School of India University in 2011.

Mukherjee is a seasoned corporate counsel whose decade-plus career spans India’s leading FMCG and automotive giants. As Senior Legal Counsel at Hindustan Unilever, she was instrumental in architecting legal strategy for the Foods business while steering regulatory compliance towards derisking the portfolio, while driving some of the nation’s well-known claims.

Prior to HUL, Mukherjee was the Regional Legal Head for Tata Motors’ Western India operations for the commercial and passenger vehicle business.

On joining Danone, Mukherjee shared,
