Khaitan Partner Indruj Rai leaves firm to start counsel practice

Khaitan & Co Tax Partner Indruj Rai has left the firm for counsel practice.

He has also been empaneled as a Senior Standing Counsel for the Income Tax Department before the Delhi High Court.

Rai is a 2006 graduate of Symbiosis Law School. He holds an LL.M. in Tax Law from King's College, London.

With over 14 years of experience, he specializes in tax litigation and advisory.

Prior to his shift to counsel practice, he was a Partner at Khaitan & Co for 6 years.

While announcing his move on LinkedIn, Rai wrote,

"I am grateful to Khaitan & Co for the choicest of opportunities meted out to me. From representing clients in high stakes tax litigation to advising and structuring in billion dollar plus deals, it has been an incredible journey. Above all, am thankful for the wonderful associations formed with stellar professionals and human beings."
