L&L Partners Litigation Equity Partners Bobby Chandhoke and Sudhir Sharma are leaving the firm along with more than 60 lawyers to join DSK Legal in Delhi, according to reliable sources.

The development follows the recent dissolution of the litigation arm of the firm by Founder and Managing Partner Rajiv Luthra.

Luthra had sent dissolution notices to the firm's existing Equity Partners as well as the heirs of the late Vijay Sondhi, who had recently demanded that they be inducted into the equity partnership of the firm.

It is understood that 60 lawyers, including 21 Partners, have already accepted offers to join DSK Legal. They include:

The Partners moving to DSK have a wide range of expertise in the areas of Dispute Resolution, Competition Law, M&A, IPR, Tax, Employment and International Trade, among others.

Luthra, along with Mohit Saraf, Chandhoke, Sharma and Sondhi, had set up the litigation firm (Luthra & Luthra Law Offices Litigation) on April 1, 2003

Saraf, who was ousted from the firm in 2021, recently moved the Delhi High Court seeking the appointment of an arbitrator to resolve disputes arising out of his share (claimed to be 11.12%) in the litigation firm. He has prayed for the appointment of former Supreme Court judge, Justice Deepak Gupta to resolve the disputes in question.

An arbitral tribunal is already deciding the disputes between Saraf and Luthra arising out of the former's exit from the firm.
