Niyama Law has commenced operations in New Delhi as a multidisciplinary legal practice advising businesses and institutions on corporate and commercial matters, disputes, projects, regulatory and specialist areas of law.
Niyama Law is headquartered in Greater Kailash II, New Delhi.
The firm is led by Faizur Rehman as Managing Partner, together with Partners Sukanya Lal, Tushar Srivastava, Waseem Anwar, Sachin Nagendra Sharma and Amit K. Pateria.
The team brings together experience from corporate legal advisory, commercial litigation, arbitration and regulatory context.
Niyama’s lawyers have experience in advising and representing businesses, institutions, public sector entities and other organisations on transactional, regulatory and contentious matters. The Firm will operate as a Partner-led practice, with senior lawyers remaining closely involved in client mandates.
Niyama has been structured around the understanding that legal issues increasingly cut across conventional practice boundaries. A transaction may carry regulatory and governance implications; an infrastructure project may involve contracting, policy and dispute-related questions; and businesses operating in regulated sectors often require advice that brings several areas of law together.
The Firm has been built to meet this reality. Niyama’s practices span corporate and commercial advisory, mergers and acquisitions, governance and compliance, dispute resolution and litigation, domestic and international arbitration, projects, energy and infrastructure, regulatory and policy matters, restructuring and insolvency, intellectual property, employment, and allied finance and tax advisory. The firm brings these disciplines together under one roof so that clients can access a complete, integrated solution from a single, trusted destination.
Commenting on the launch, Faizur Rehman, Managing Partner, Niyama Law, said,
“We have started Niyama with a clear focus on doing substantive work, staying closely involved in the matters entrusted to us and building long-term relationships with our clients. The partners bring different but complementary areas of experience, and our effort will be to bring those perspectives together wherever a matter requires it.”
