Former General Counsel at Nokia Networks, Saguna Vaid has been appointed as General Counsel of Indigo effective December 1, 2021.

Vaid will replace Priya Mehra, who has been serving her notice period since August this year. Mehra recently joined upcoming low-cost carrier Akasa Air as its Legal Head.

Vaid is a 1992 graduate of Faculty of Law, University of Delhi, and received the Chevening Scholarship to pursue further studies from College of Law, York in 1996.

In the past, she has worked with law firms like Dua Associates and Gagrats & Co, and has also been a lawyer with firms in the middle-east. Prior to joining Nokia Networks, Vaid was General Counsel with Genpact LLC.
