MakeMyTrip Group has appointed Pankaj Chauhan as General Counsel.
Chauhan is a 2007 graduate of Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar University, Agra. He earned his LLM in International Business and Finance Laws from Golden Gate University in 2025. He is a member of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India.
Chauhan has close to two and a half decades of legal leadership experience across Automotive, Infrastructure, Power & Mining, Telecom, IT/ITES/Software and Consumer Durables, with expertise in Legal Strategy, Contract Management, Litigation, IPR, Policy Advocacy, Corporate Governance, Risk & Compliance Management, Corporate Restructuring through JV/M&A and Data Protection.
Prior to joining MakeMyTrip, Chauhan served as the Group General Counsel and Senior Vice President at Usha International for over six years. His previous engagements include stints at Sterlite Technologies, Vedanta Group, Hero Motors and Minda Corporation.
At MakeMyTrip, Chauhan will lead the Group’s legal function, focusing on governance, legal and regulatory risk, transactions, leadership counsel, and alignment with business goals.
