Exclusive: SAM Competition Partner Gauri Chhabra set to join Trilegal

Chhabra will be working out of Trilegal's Mumbai office.

Gauri Chhabra has left Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas (SAM) and is slated to join Trilegal as a Partner in the firm's Competition practice at Mumbai.

It is understood that Chhabra is joining Trilegal with her entire team of 7 members.

Confirming Chhabra's exit, SAM Managing Partner Pallavi Shroff said,

"I wish her luck."

It is understood that the Trilegal partnership is voting on her induction. We have reached out to the firm for comment.

Chhabra graduated from Amity Law School and holds an LL.M. from New York University School of Law.

She specializes in Competition Law and has worked on a full range of matters including cartel enforcement, abuse of dominance, merger control and competition compliance. She has represented Indian and multinational clients across sectors such as airlines, cement, natural resources and manufacturing before the Competition Commission of India.

Recently, Trilegal Competition Head Nisha Kaur Uberoi resigned from the firm to join JSA along with her team of 25 lawyers.
