Suhana Islam Murshedd has joined AQUILAW as Equity Partner to lead the Corporate Practice of the firm.
Murshedd is a 2006 graduate of Government Law College, Mumbai. She also holds an LL.M. from King’s College London, United Kingdom in 2008.
Murshedd has over 16 years of experience in Corporate and Commercial Law. Her core expertise includes private equity investments, mergers and acquisitions, business transfers, joint ventures, and foreign investments. She advises several multinational clients on their India entry strategies, inbound and outbound investments, and foreign exchange laws. Her work experience spans several sectors such as healthcare, e-mobility, FMCG, retail, manufacturing, information technology (IT) and IT-enabled services. She also specializes in corporate governance and ESG (Environment, Social and Governance).
Prior to joining AQUILAW, Murshedd was associated with Khaitan & Co for over 8 years, where she held the position of a Partner for over 4 years.
