Tapan Chauhan has joined Amazon as Director - Legal & Associate General Counsel.

Chauhan is an alumnus of Himachal Pradesh University.

He has close to two decades of experience across litigation and corporate counsel roles. He advises MNCs across diverse legal domains, with a particular focus on the FMCG sector. His expertise include Litigation & Dispute Resolution across multiple legal domains with domestic and international arbitration expertise. He is well-versed in FMCG legal frameworks, including Food, Labour, and Excise laws (Alco-bev). He is skilled in Corporate Governance, compliance program design, audits, and training on key regulations like Anti-Bribery and Competition Law. He is also proficient in managing regulatory compliance and mitigating legal risks globally.

Prior to joining Amazon, Chauhan was associated with Pernod Ricard India for over eight years. His previous engagements include stints at Nestlé and Mondelēz International.
