Desai & Diwanji acts on $8m investment in Bellatrix Aerospace

The funding was from BASF Venture Capital GmbH and Inflexor Ventures

BASF Venture Capital GmbH and Inflexor Ventures have invested $8m in Bengaluru-based space tech startup Bellatrix Aerospace.

Desai & Diwanji acted for BASF and Inflexor.

The team consisted Associate Partner Rahul Deaodhar who led the transaction. He was assisted by Associate Partner Prerana Chaudhari, with inputs from Partner Siddharth Mody.

The funding round saw the participation of StartupXseed, Pavestone Capital, Survam Partners, Karsemven Fund, the Mankind Pharma family office, and other prominent family offices and angel investors.

Bellatrix, founded in 2015 by co-founders Rohan Ganapathy and Yashas Karanam, offers chemical and electric propulsion technologies. It runs a large research facility at SID-IISc for satellite propulsion. It also boasts of a strong IP portfolio in these technologies
