JSA advises Renew Surya Roshni on securing $730 million for 320 MW RTC project

The funds will be used for the refinancing of the 320 MW capacity round-the-clock project in the states of Rajasthan, Maharashtra and Karnataka, India.

Renew Surya Roshni Private Limited has availed an external commercial borrowing of $730 million from a consortium of twelve banks comprising Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation, Standard Chartered Bank, Société Générale, Bank of America, NA, DBS Bank Ltd., ING Bank NV., MUFG Bank, Ltd., Mizuho Bank, Ltd., Taipei Fubon Commercial Bank Co., Ltd., Qatar National Bank, Crédit Agricole Corporate and Investment Bank, and CTBC Bank Co Limited.

The transaction was led by Karan Mitroo (Partner), with support from Kartikeya Dubey (Partner), Pragya Verma (Senior Associate) and Supriya Saxena (Junior Associate).

Renew Surya Roshni Private Limited is backed by ReNew Power and Mitsui as the ultimate shareholders.

The funds will be used for the refinancing of the 320 MW capacity round-the-clock project (comprising wind, solar and BESS) in the states of Rajasthan, Maharashtra and Karnataka, India.
