Khaitan & Co advises Logicap on acquisition of warehousing assets from Xander

The first tranche of the acquisition is valued at approximately ₹1,500 crore, covering 2.6 million sq. ft. of logistics parks in Chennai and Kolkata.

Alta Capital Management LLP, through its logistics-based platform Logicap, has acquired the warehousing assets from Singapore-based Xander Investment Management.

The transaction comprises two separate tranches — the first, valued at approximately ₹1,500 crore, covers 2.6 million sq. ft. of logistics parks in Chennai and Kolkata, with the Chennai facility located within a free trade zone and the Bagnan (near Kolkata) property serving eastern consumption corridors. Both sites are currently operational and fully occupied. A second tranche, involving a further 1 million sq. ft. in Bhiwandi, is also being planned.

Khaitan & Co advised Alta Capital Management on this acquisition. The Firm assisted in legal due diligence, title due diligence, drafting the transaction documents, and execution and closing of the transaction.
