Entab Infotech Private Limited has been acquired by Nelnet Business Services (NBS), a division of Nelnet, Inc.
Khaitan & Co advised Entab and its promoters on this acquisition. The Firm was involved in: acting as legal counsel to the Client for the transaction including negotiating, drafting and reviewing the definitive agreements with the acquirer; regulatory advice and support; execution of the transaction documents and closing assistance; and reviewing and finalising the employment agreement and the consultancy agreement.

Following the acquisition, the business will operate as "Entab, a Nelnet company".
The acquisition is a key step in Nelnet’s international expansion, enabling it to extend its school management, tuition, and campus technology services into India, one of the world’s biggest K–12 education markets.
