Orvis Semi Private Limited has raised funds under the Government of India’s National Quantum Mission (NQM).

The funding was facilitated through the Qmet Tech Foundation, a not-for-profit company established by IIT Bombay.

MR LexCorp advised Orvis Semi on this fundraise.

The transaction team was led by Risheka Dhhawan (Partner) and Ankit Dixit (Partner), with support from Utsav Mishra (Senior Associate) and Akshita Kumar (Senior Associate).

Orvis Semi is a deep tech enterprise dedicated to developing cutting-edge imaging solutions and advanced sensor systems.

This transaction marks a significant milestone in the commercialisation of quantum-linked technologies in India, supported by the government’s strategic focus on high-impact research and development. The Mission has also rapidly expanded its startup ecosystem to 17 ventures, with Orvis Semi being among the key deep-tech players working on photon sensing and cutting-edge imaging solutions.

The milestone follows a major breakthrough for the mission, as highlighted in a recent announcement by Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh.
