Poovayya & Co advised Hopkins Healthcare Private Limited on the acquisition of majority stake in TMI Healthcare Private Limited, the parent entity of People Tree Hospital, for a consideration of ₹103 crore.

Poovayya & Co acted as the legal counsel to the acquirer.

The transaction team was led by Siddhartha George (Partner), with Varnika Sharma (Partner), Bilal Lateefi (Principal Associate), and Satyajit Nair (Associate), with assistance from the Disputes Team, led by Dharmendra Chatur (Partner), with Ishi Prakash (Associate).

People Tree Hospital is one of the most prominent multi-specialty hospitals in Bengaluru, with branches located in various parts of the city.

Earlier, Poovayya & Co advised Hopkins Healthcare on the issuance of non-convertible debentures aggregating to a total of ₹208 crores to Blackrock.

Hopkins Healthcare, a Bengaluru-based entity, is engaged in the health industry, and manages hospitals and diagnostic centres in Bengaluru.
