Rajaram, AZB act on upGrad $40 million fund raise from World Bank's IFC

The post money valuation of upGrad stands at USD 850 million

EdTech giant, UpGrad Education Private Limited raised USD 40 million (about ₹290 crore) in its Series 2 fundraise from World Bank's International Finance Corporation (IFC).

Rajaram Legal represented upGrad and the team was led by Managing Partner Archana Rajaram along with Associate Jagdish Kaisare.

AZB & Partners advised IFC and the team included Partner Dushyant Bagga and Senior Associate Shivranjani Ralawata.

The company will use the funds to scale its operations in international markets, pursue mergers and acquisitions in the edtech space and expand its graduate and postgraduate degree portfolio.
