Premier Energies Limited and Syrma SGS Technology Limited have entered into a strategic joint venture to acquire KSolare Energy Private Limited for a total consideration of ₹170 crore.

As part of the joint venture, Premier Energies will hold a 51% stake, while Syrma SGS will hold a 49% stake.

Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas & Co advised Premier Energies on this joint venture and acquisition.

The transaction team was led by Kushal Sinha (Partner) and Dhrupad Pant (Partner), with support from Paulose Abraham (Principal Associate), Ishita Sehgal (Principal Associate), and Associates Anushka Agarwal, Khushi Joshi and Nazish Prabhakar.

Argus Partners advised Syrma SGS on this joint venture and acquisition.

The transaction team consisted of Abhinav Bhalaik (Partner), Aayush Kumar (Partner) and Ishita Agarwal (Senior Associate).

The acquisition marks a strategic move to strengthen India’s domestic solar manufacturing ecosystem, particularly in the growing residential and rooftop solar inverter segment.

This partnership aligns with India’s renewable energy initiatives, including the PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana, supporting the nation’s push for sustainable and self-reliant clean energy solutions.
