VERTICES, SAMVĀD act on Rangarajan Krishnan acquiring controlling stake in Prayaan Capital

Post the transaction, Krishnan has been appointed the Managing Director of Prayaan Capital.

Rangarajan Krishnan has acquired controlling stake in Prayaan Capital Private Limited from all the existing shareholders and existing investors, as they made a complete exit from the company. Krishnan also made part acquisition of shares of both the founders.

VERTICES PARTNERS advised Rangarajan Krishnan on this transaction.

The transaction was led by Manu Varghese (Partner), along with a team that included Shagun Rathi (Senior Associate) and Associates Srishti Singh and Stuti Jain.

The exiting investors Accion Venture Lab LP, Accion Africa-Asia Investment Company and Sub-K Impact Solutions Limited were represented by their respective in-house legal teams.

Founded in 2018, Prayaan Capital is a Chennai-based Non-Banking Financial Company that focuses on providing small business loans to micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) in India.

Post the transaction, Rangarajan Krishnan has been appointed the Managing Director of Prayaan Capital.
