The Karnataka Appellate Tribunal is inviting applications from eligible law students for legal internship program.

Interns will assist the Chairperson and Members in daily functioning, judicial records, and case research.

  • Location: MS Building, 1st Gate, 2nd Floor Bengaluru-560001.

  • Duration: 6 to 8 Weeks

  • Mode: Offline/In-Office

  • Type: Unpaid (Certificates are provided upon successful evaluation of the completion report).

Eligibility Criteria

  • Enrollment: Must be enrolled in a recognized 3-year or 5-year LL.B. degree program.

  • Year of Study: Preference is typically given to students in their 3rd year or higher for 5-year courses, and 2nd year or higher for 3-year courses.

  • Academic Standing: Candidates should possess strong legal research and drafting skills.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Assisting judicial and legal officers with case file reviews.

  • Conducting extensive research on relevant statutory provisions and case laws.

  • Observing court/tribunal proceedings and maintaining judicial records.

  • Compiling a comprehensive research report/paper at the end of the internship.

How to Apply

Interested and eligible candidates must submit the following documents:

  1. Curriculum Vitae (CV): Highlighting academic achievements and research experience.

  2. Recommendation Letter: Issued by the Dean or authorized faculty of the student's Law College/University, and addressed to the Registrar of the Karnataka Appellate Tribunal.

  3. Student Identity Card: A valid ID proof issued by the educational institution.

Applications must be submitted via email to registrar.kapt@karnataka.gov.in or rgo.kapt@karnataka.gov.in or physically at the Registrar’s office, M.S Building, Bengaluru.

Note: Shortlisted candidates will be invited by the Competent Authority to undertake the internship.
