Cyril Amarchand, AZB win M&A Deal of the Year Award at Asia Legal Awards

Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas and AZB & Partners have bagged the M&A Deal of the Year – South Asia award at the Asia Legal Awards 2016, held in Hong Kong. The award winning deal was American Tower Corporation’s (ATC) acquisition of a 51% stake in Viom Networks.

Viom was advised by Cyril Amarchand, whereas ATC was represented by AZB.

The team from Cyril Amarchand included Partner Ashwath Rau along with Principal Associate Dhruv Singhal and Associate Pranav Atit. Competition law Partner Nisha Kaur Uberoi and dispute resolution Partner Indranil Deshmukh also advised on the deal, assisted by Principal Associate Kashish Bhatia, Senior Associates Shweta Vasani and Adarsh Saxena, and Associates Prutha Parulekar, Preksha Malik and Roshni Bhalla.

The AZB corporate team was led by Partners Gautam Saha and Shuchi Sinha. Managing Partner Ajay Bahl, along with Partner Sunil Agarwal, advised on tax related issues, while Partner Samir Gandhi advised on the Competition law aspect.

Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas was nominated in seven categories including deal of the year, individual and practice area categories.
