Abir Roy, Sundar Ramanathan to start own firm after LKS exit

Abir Roy and Sundar Ramanathan, Partners at Lakshmikumaran & Sridharan (LKS), have left the firm to start their own venture, as first reported by Legally India.

The NLU Jodhpur graduates are likely to kick off operations by mid-January, and will collaborate with Seetharaman S, who quit LKS back in October.

After graduating from NLU Jodhpur in 2007, Roy started his career with Nishith Desai Associates. He worked there for almost three years after which he joined Pathak & Associates. He moved from Pathak to Amarchand Mangaldas in 2012, where he worked for almost two years. After that, he joined Khare as a Partner in Delhi. In January 2015, he had joined LKS as a Joint Partner.

Ramanathan, also a 2007 graduate from NLU Jodhpur, holds an LL.M from London School of Economics. He has been with LKS since February 2009.
