Acting Registrar General of Andhra Pradesh High Court B Rajasekhar dies of cardiac arrest

Rajasekhar is reported to have complained of uneasiness while in court yesterday, after which he was taken to the Ramesh Hospital in Vijayawada.

Acting Registrar General of the Andhra Pradesh High Court B Rajasekhar reportedly died of a cardiac arrest on Wednesday. He was 59 years old.

Rajasekhar reportedly complained of uneasiness while in Court, after which he was taken to the Ramesh Hospital in Vijayawada.

He subsequently passed away at the hospital. Court functioning was suspended for the rest of the day on Wednesday. The Chief Justice and other judges of the High Court also visited the hospital on Wednesday, it is reported.

Rajasekhar is stated to have been appointed as the Andhra Pradesh High Court's Acting Registrar General in 2016.

A day after he passed away, the High Court suspended its functioning until Sunday citing a COVID-19 outbreak. In Rajasekhar's absence, the notification was signed off by the Registrar (Recruitment).
