[Breaking]: SAM to CAM – Akila Agrawal likely to join Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas

Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas Equity Partner Akila Agrawal, who had resigned from the firm in April this year, is likely to join Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas, according to authoritative sources.

Akila has left Shardul Amarchand early this week. It is understood that she has been put on four months’ gardening leave.

We have reached out to Pallavi Shroff from Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas and Cyril Shroff from Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas for comment. They were not available at the time of publishing this story.

Akila was a Senior Partner in the M&A and General Corporate practice at Shardul Amarchand, at the helm of a 15-lawyer team. She specializes in Mergers & Acquisitions and Joint Ventures.

Akila has extensive experience in handling Takeover Offers, Delisting Offers, Corporate Governance matters, Commercial Contracts and SEBI Matters.

She is a 1999 graduate of National Law School of India University, Bangalore. She joined Amarchand Mangaldas in 2002. Prior to joining the firm, she was a Senior Executive with Wipro in Bangalore. She was made Partner in 2008, and Equity Partner in 2011.

Recently, Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas had hired three partners from Khaitan & Co – Avaantika Kakkar, Daksha Baxi, and Pooja Baxi.
