Venture Intelligence League Tables, an India-based transaction tracking firm has announced the top two law firms based on volume of Private Equity and M&A transactions advised during the calendar year of 2009.

The Bombay headquartered ALMT Legal has bagged the top honours for Private Equity while Desai & Diwanji has bagged the top spot for Mergers & Acquisitions.

Vishnu, an analyst at Venture Intelligence, a part of the organizing committee of the Awards told Bar & Bench that a detailed list of law firms and dealmakers would be disclosed after the Awards ceremony is over.
