Amarchand Mangaldas Mumbai Partner, Vandana Pai Bharucha has resigned according to sources.

Vandana joined the firm in 2003 after graduating from National Law School of India University, Bangalore. She took a sabbatical for a year to complete her LL.M. from Columbia Law School, New York following which she cleared the New York Bar. Thereafter she returned to the firm and in 2010, she was made a Partner along with Prashant Gupta and Tejas Karia in the firm’s Delhi office.

Her practice areas include General Corporate, M&A and Private Equity.

Partners at Amarchand were not available for comment at the time of publishing the story.

Recently, Capital Markets Partner Abhimanyu Bhattacharya has also resigned as reported by Legally India. It is understood that he is joining Khaitan & Co as Equity Partner.

If Abhimanyu does join Khaitan & Co, it will be the second major addition to the firm. Yesterday, we reported the dissolution of PXV Partners, and the subsequent move of most of the team to Khaitan & Co.
