Author of Textbook on Law of Contract and Specific Relief, Dr. Avtar Singh passes away

Dr. Avtar Singh, the author of books on Contract law and Company law, passed away yesterday at the age of 85.

According to EBC, Singh held an LLM and LLD and is an advocate, author, and professor.

Avtar Singh’s Textbook on Law of Contract and Specific Relief which is known for its crisp and comprehensible enunciation of principles is one of the most highly recommended books for law students in the subject.

He has also written on Banking and Negotiable Instruments Act, Business Law, Intellectual Property Law, Partnership law, and Law of Arbitration and Conciliation to name a few.

Titles written by him are prescribed textbooks in many Universities.
