Debashish Sankhari, who recently resigned from AZB & Partners, has joined Jupiter Law Partners as a Partner and will handle the firm’s M&A and corporate commercial practice.

Jupiter Law Partners was set up early this year by former HSA Partner, Jagvir Singh along with Madhukar Tomar, Meera Chature, Atish Vatts and Sujit Thakur. Sankhari will now be the sixth Partner at the firm.

“Debashish brings with him M&A and corporate commercial expertise honed at the premier firms. He is undoubtedly an immense addition to the professional talent pool of the firm”, said Jagvir Singh.

Jagvir added, “We are sure he is going to be an asset to our partnership.”

A National Law School of India University graduate, Sankhari joined AZB in 2007 as a Senior Associate and was made a Partner in 2012.

Prior to joining AZB, he was working with Fox Mandal as a Senior Associate, before which he was working at Vaish Associates.

Sankhari started his career with an international non-governmental organization, the Commonwealth Human Rights Initiative. He was part of the advocacy group for three years after which he decided to move to corporate law practice.
