Back to Khaitan: SAM’s Abhishek Sinha moves back to former employer

Abhishek Sinha, who had joined Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas in Mumbai, is moving back to Khaitan & Co according to authoritative sources.

Update: Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas Mumbai Managing Partner Akshay Chudasama confirmed Abhishek’s resignation and said,

“He has left for personal reasons.”

Khaitan & Co Executive Director Amar Sinhji confirmed the development and said “We are happy to welcome Abhishek back to the firm.”

Sinha was the fourth partner to leave Khaitan to join Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas in Mumbai. Before him Khaitan’s Associate Partners Iqbal Khan and Deepto Roy in Mumbai and Harsh Kumar in Delhi had left the firm to join Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas.

A graduate of ILS Pune, Abhishek joined the firm in August 2009 from Morrison & Foerster LLP, where he was visiting International Attorney for six months. He has previously worked at AZB & Partners and DSK Legal.
