Bar and Bench special correspondent Debayan Roy won the Legal Investigative Journalist award at the Justice Media Awards 2023-24 instituted by the North Delhi Lawyers Association.
He received the award on February 24 from former Supreme Court judge Justice Anil R Dave.
Former Jammu and Kashmir High Court Chief Justice MM Kumar and Additional Law Secretary Dr. Anju Rathi Rana were also present.
In 2023, Debayan had bagged the award in the Best Legal reporter category.
Bar and Bench had also emerged winner of the inaugural Jethmalani Prize for Legal Journalism in 2023 under the Will of Steel Awards instituted by the Sunday Guardian Foundation to honour the birth centenary year of veteran lawyer late Ram Jethmalani.
