Bharti Airtel GC, Jyoti Pawar resigns to join ELP as Partner; To head TMT practice in Delhi

Jyoti Pawar, Bharti Airtel’s General Counsel has resigned to join Economic Laws Practice as a Partner taking the total number of Partners at ELP to 20. She will head the firm’s Telecommunications, Media and Technology practice.

Pawar is a graduate of Government Law College, Mumbai. She started her career with Mulla & Mulla in 1992 and worked there for almost nine years before moving in-house with GE Money as Vice President Legal & Compliance.

She worked with GE for almost eight years before joining Bharti Airtel as General Counsel in 2008.

ELP Managing Partner Rohan Shah confirmed that Jyoti Pawar is joining the firm’s Delhi office. Pawar was not available for comment at the time of publishing this story.
