Brand Capital’s Vinod Joseph is new GC at IDFC Alternatives

Vinod Joseph has joined IDFC Alternatives, the private equity arm of IDFC, as

 General Counsel, where he will focus on the fund’s legal and compliance operations. This development was first reported by VCCircle.

Prior to joining IDFC, he was the Head-Legal at Brand Capital, a division of the Bennett, Coleman & Co. A graduate of NLSIU, Joseph worked at AZB & Partners for a year before moving to BNP Paribas, and then DSP Merril Lynch.

In 2001, he joined Dua Associates but left after a year he left to pursue an LL.M. from London School of Economics. In 2004, he joined Lawrence Graham LLP and later in 2006 moved to Reed Smith Richards Butler LLP.

In 2007, he joined Kotak Mahindra as Vice President – Legal. In 2010, he moved back to India and in 2011 joined Dua Associates as a Partner.
