[Breaking]: S&R’s Bhakta Patnaik resigns to most likely join Trilegal’s Capital Markets

S&R Associates’ Partner Bhakta Patnaik has recently resigned from the firm

. He will most likely be joining Trilegal to kick start the firm’s Capital Markets practice in Mumbai, according to sources.

Confirming his exit, Managing Partner Sandip Bhagat said,

“We wish him the best.”

Bhakta is the first ever partner to resign from S&R Associates.

A graduate of National Law School of India University, Bangalore, Bhakta was made Partner at S&R in 2012.

Bhakta was previously with Linklaters in Singapore, where he worked for almost 5 years. He has also worked at the Delhi office of the erstwhile Amarchand Mangaldas.

His areas of practice include Capital Markets (debt, equity and equity-linked securities), Mergers and Acquisitions, corporate and debt restructuring, liability management and general corporate matters.

Trilegal recently announced a series of changes in its management structure, with co-founder and Partner Rahul Matthan saying that these changes will push the firm to the next level.
