Confirming his exit, Managing Partner Sandip Bhagat said,

Bhakta is the first ever partner to resign from S&R Associates.
A graduate of National Law School of India University, Bangalore, Bhakta was made Partner at S&R in 2012.
Bhakta was previously with Linklaters in Singapore, where he worked for almost 5 years. He has also worked at the Delhi office of the erstwhile Amarchand Mangaldas.
His areas of practice include Capital Markets (debt, equity and equity-linked securities), Mergers and Acquisitions, corporate and debt restructuring, liability management and general corporate matters.
Trilegal recently announced a series of changes in its management structure, with co-founder and Partner Rahul Matthan saying that these changes will push the firm to “the next level”.
