Senior Advocate Hamarsan Singh Thangkhiew appointed as Judge, Meghalaya HC

Pursuant to the Supreme Court Collegium’s resolution in September this year, Central Government has notified the appointment of Senior Advocate Hamarsan Singh Thangkhiew as judge of the Meghalaya High Court.

Thangkhiew’s name has been notified by the Central Government through a Notification dated November 17, 2018.

Thangkhiew was recommended by the Chief Justice of Meghalaya High Court on February 26, 2018. The Supreme Court Collegium had considered it fit to appoint Thangkhiew on the basis of the interaction and the material placed before it.
