The Central government has notified the appointment of five lawyers as Additional Judges of Karnataka High Court.

The five new appointments are:

Neranahalli Srinivasan Sanjay Gowda

Nataraj Rangaswamy

Hemant Chandangoudar

Pradeep Singh Yerur

These five names were recommended by the Collegium on October 3 along with the names of three other lawyers. However, the Central government has cleared only five out of the eight names.

Further, on the same day, the Collegium had also reiterated its recommendation with respect to the four other lawyers which was initially made in March this year. The Centre had returned the names but the Collegium had stood by its recommendations. Those four names are also yet to be cleared by the Central government.
