CJI BR Gavai to deliver 11th Justice VR Krishna Iyer Memorial Law Lecture at Kerala High Court

CJI Gavai will deliver the memorial lecture on the topic 'Role of Justice VR Krishna Iyer in Balancing Fundamental Rights and Directive Principles of State Policy’.

Chief Justice of India (CJI) BR Gavai will be delivering the 11th Justice VR Krishna Iyer Memorial Law Lecture in Kochi on Sunday, July 6.

The event, hosted by the Sarada Krishna Satgamaya Foundation for Law and Justice, will take place at 5.00 PM at the auditorium of the Kerala High Court.

Bar and Bench, which is the exclusive media partner for the event, will stream the event live on its YouTube channel.

CJI Gavai will deliver the memorial lecture on the topic 'Role of Justice VR Krishna Iyer in Balancing Fundamental Rights and Directive Principles of State Policy’.

The function will be presided over by Kerala High Court Chief Justice Nitin Jamdar.

Judge of the Kerala High Court, Justice Devan Ramachandran will be delivering the commemoration address.

Every year, the Sarada Krishna Satgamaya Foundation for Law and Justice in Kochi honours the timeless legacy of Justice Iyer, renowned for his monumental contributions to Indian Jurisprudence, through this annual law lecture. Justice Iyer was a tireless advocate for justice. His landmark judgments, which reflect a deep understanding of society, continue to be relevant today.

Participation Certificates will be issued to law students, who register prior to the commencement of the function. Registration commences at 4.15 pm on July 6 at the venue.
