Collegium recommends 5 Additional Judges of Calcutta HC for appointment as Permanent Judges

All 5 Judges were appointed to the Calcutta High Court in February last year.

The Supreme Court Collegium has recommended the appointment of five Additional Judges of the Calcutta High Court as Permanent Judges of the High Court.

As per a Collegium statement issued today, the Judges so recommended are:

  • Justice Md. Nizamuddin

  • Justice Tirthankar Ghosh

  • Justice Hiranmay Bhattacharyya

  • Justice Saugata Bhattacharyya

  • Justice Manojit Mandal

All five judges were appointed as Additional Judges in February last year.
