Collegium recommends elevation of 3 judicial officers as Karnataka High Court judges

At present, the Karnataka High Court has a working strength of 45 judges against its approved strength of 62.

The Supreme Court Collegium has recommended the appointment of three judicial officers as judges of the Karnataka High Court.

The recommendation was made by the Collegium following a meeting held on April 14.

The following are the judicial officers approved for elevation:

(i) Rajeshwari Narayana Hegde,

(ii) Kedambadi Ganesh Shanthi, and

(iii) Mahadevappa Brungesh.

At present, the Karnataka High Court has a working strength of 45 judges against its approved strength of 62.
