Collegium reiterates transfer of Justice MN Bhandari from Rajasthan HC to Allahabad HC

The Supreme Court Collegium has reiterated its earlier resolution recommending the transfer of Justice MN Bhandari from the Rajasthan High Court to the Allahabad High Court.

After the Collegium had recommended his transfer on January 15 this year, Justice Bhandari sent two representations requesting that the proposal for his transfer be deferred.

On consider the representations as well as the relevant factors, the Collegium has decided to reiterate its recommendation.

“On reconsideration, the Collegium is of the considered view that it is not possible to accede to his request.”

Last month, the Collegium had recommended that Justice Bhandari be transferred to the Allahabad High Court “in the better interests of justice”.
