Collegium recommends transfer of four judges to three High Courts [Read Resolutions]

The Supreme Court Collegium has passed resolutions recommending the transfer of four judges to the High Courts of Bombay, Hyderabad and Karnataka.

Justice Indrajit Mahanty, presently a Judge of the  Orissa High Court, has been recommended for transfer to the Bombay High Court.

Also being transferred to the Bombay High Court is Justice AA Kureshi, presently serving at the Gujarat High Court.

Justice Raghvendra S Chauhan of the Karnataka High Court has been recommended for transfer to the High Court of Judicature for Telangana and Andhra Pradesh at Hyderabad, as reported by Bar & Bench yesterday.

The Collegium has also accepted a transfer request made by Justice Alok Aradhe, presently serving at the Jammu and Kashmir High Court, and recommended his transfer to the Karnataka High Court.

The Collegium has recorded that all four transfers have been recommended in the interest of better administration of justice.
