Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas is on a hiring spree; the most recent one being IDFC Alternatives’ Senior Director and Head – Legal & Compliance, Shagoofa R Khan. 

Shagoofa has been hired as the firm’s National Practice Head – Funds, Investment and Advisory.

She will  effectively be replacing Ashwath Rau, who was heading the firm’s Funds practice.

A graduate of Government Law College Mumbai, Shagoofa worked at Tata Services before joining IDFC Alternatives. She has also worked at Kotak Investment Advisors and Nishith Desai Associates.

Cyril Amarchand has been on an aggressive hiring spree following the exit of five partners including Equity Partner Ashwath Rau. The firm has since hired JP Morgan’s Ruetveij Pandya and JSA’s Manisha Kumar and Gautam Gandotra.
