Dealogic 2015: Desai & Diwanji tops Asia-Pacific Project Finance table; CAM in 3rd place

Mumbai-based law firm Desai & Diwanji has topped the 2015 Dealogic Asia-Pacific league tables for Project Finance. The firm finds itself at the summit in terms of both deal count and deal value, with 49 deals worth $10.36 billion.

A majority of the top ten are foreign law firms; only Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas, in third place, finds mention from Big Law India.

Herbert Smith Freehills is second with 38 deals worth close to $8.6 billion, followed by Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas with 24 deals worth $6.8 billion.

The other Indian law firms in the table include Link Legal in seventh position, with 35 deals worth $5.3 billion, and the erstwhile Amarchand Mangaldas & Suresh A Shroff & Co, in tenth, with 15 deals worth $4.1 billion.

The foreign law firms featuring in the list include Allens, King & Wood Mallesons, Norton Rose Fulbright, Allen & Overy and Ashurst.

Desai & Diwanji’s Project Finance team is headed by Partner Parth Sharma, and comprises Associates Puskar Bavare, Rahul Chauhan, Vishal Mali, Kunal Gaurav, Dnyanraj Desai and Riya Bhattacharya.
