Prof (Dr) KC Sunny appointed Vice Chancellor of NUALS

Following the retirement of Prof (Dr) Rose Varghese from the post, Prof (Dr) KC Sunny has been appointed as the new Vice-Chancellor of the National University of Advanced Legal Studies (NUALS), Kochi.

Speaking to Bar & Bench, Registrar Mahadevan MG said that Dr Sunny will take charge as VC next week.

Dr Sunny is currently serving as the head of the Department of Law at the Central University of Kerala. He joined the University in 2017.

He has done his graduation in Physics and Law. Following this, he obtained his Post Graduate degree in Administrative Law, winning a Gold Medal for the same. He went on to secure a UGC Fellowship for his PhD research in the field of Election law at the Kerala University. He obtained his PhD in 1994 on the topic, “Corrupt Practices in Election Law“. His areas of specialisation include Administrative Law, Constitutional Law, Election Law and Human Rights.

Dr Sunny also sits as a member on various academic and other councils, including that of NUALS. He has also served as a member in seven Government committees.
