Dua Associates Equity Partner Himanshu Narayan is joining Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas, according to sources.

It is understood that Dua Partner Amarta Roy, who is part of Narayan’s team, is also moving with him. Roy was made partner in 2016.

We have reached out to Cyril Shroff, Ranji Dua, and Himanshu Narayan for comment.

Narayan joined Dua Associates in 2010 from Amarchand Mangaldas, where he was made equity partner in 2008.

He had joined Amarchand Mangaldas in 2006 from Dua Associates. He is a 1995 graduate of National Law School of India University (NLSIU), Bangalore.

He has over 23 years of experience and focuses on transactional work in mergers & acquisitions, private equity, corporate finance and general corporate advice.

Narayan’s joining comes in the wake of big movements in and out of Cyril Amarchand.

The firm has recently hired Akila Agrawal from Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas. Last month, the firm’s Delhi head and disputes practice chair Percival Billimoria has resigned to focus on counsel work.
