ELP Associate Partner Faraz Alam Sagar moves to Trilegal; more Partner promotions expected

Trilegal’s partner count has increased by one, with the addition of Faraz Alam Sagar. The former Associate Partner at Economic Laws Practice, will be joining Trilegal’s Mumbai office as a Disputes Resolution Partner.

Sagar will be the third Disputes Resolution Partner, the other two being senior litigation Partner Sitesh Mukherjee, and Shankh Sengupta who is based in Delhi.

In the firm’s press release, Mukherjee states that,

Faraz brings extensive experience in advising and representing a number of domestic and international clients on corporate criminal liability and white collar crimes in various courts, tribunals and other fora and will strengthen our disputes resolution practice.

Sagar, an Symbiosis Law School graduate (Class of ’06)  is the fourth Partner-level addition in the last six months, the other three being Kunal Chandra, Gautam Singh (who were made Equity Partners), and Ravindra Bandhakavi (who moved from SAM with his team).

The press release also says that a number of Partner promotions will be announced “in the next few days”.
