Economic Laws Practice has recently hired 9 lawyers from different law firms to replace the team of 11 lawyers who had left for PDS Legal in April this year. The new lawyers are from various firms including Amarchand Mangaldas, L&S, Fox Mandal & Co, and AZB & Partners.
The firm has also relocated its Mumbai Senior Associate Monish Panda, part of ELP’s Mumbai Litigation Team since 2011, to the Delhi office.
Kirat Singh Nagra, former Amarchand Mangaldas Principal Associate, has left the firm to join the Delhi office of ELP. Kirat will head the firm’s litigation team replacing Partner Tarun Gulati, who had left the firm with his team.
Kirat, a graduate of Indian Law Society, Pune has over ten years of experience in handling commercial litigation and arbitration matters in diverse areas. He has regularly been representing several large Indian and multinationals before the Supreme Court of India, High Courts, Regulatory Forums and Tribunals, across the country.

Tarun Jain, former Principal Associate at Lakshmikumaran & Sridharan has joined as Senior Associate. He worked with L&S for six years before moving to ELP. He is a graduate of National Law School, Jodhpur and holds an LL.M in Taxation from the London School of Economics.
Pranav Vyas, who was previously working with Fox Mandal & Co., Delhi too has joined as Senior Associate. He also holds an LL.M from National University of Singapore.
Kartik Yadav has joined from AZB & Partners, Delhi. Kartik has five years of Corporate & Commercial Litigation and Arbitration experience.
Somnath Shukla, who has previously worked with Vaish Associates and Karanjawala & Co, is another new hire. He has four years of work experience primarily in Direct & Indirect Tax Litigation as well as Property matters, Foreign Exchange laws and other commercial laws.
Kshitiz Karjee, Prithvi Kapur, Shankey Agarwal and Avneesh Arputham have joined as Associates in the Litigation Team.
