ELP Partner Yashojit Mitra moves to Amarchand Mumbai; Amarchand PA Vinayak Burman to join ELP

Yashojit Mitra, Partner at Economic Laws Practice, has resigned to join the Mumbai office of Amarchand Mangaldas as a Partner. He is serving his notice period and will be joining Amarchand in August 2013.

Yashojit has over 10 years of experience advising both domestic and International clients. His areas of specialization include general corporate laws, M&A and private equity.

Yashojit cited ‘purely professional reasons’ for his decision to move to Amarchand.

He is a graduate of Symbiosis Law School, Pune. After graduating in 2003, he joined DSK Legal where he worked for about three years before moving to ELP in May 2006.

Vinayak Burman, Principal Associate at Amarchand Mangaldas has resigned and will be joining ELP as Associate Partner.

Vinayak too is a graduate of Symbiosis Law School. Prior to joining Amarchand, he was working at Rajinder Narain & Co in New Delhi.

ELP has recently hired 9 lawyers from different law firms to replace the team of 11 lawyers who had left for PDS Legal in April this year. The new lawyers are from various firms including Amarchand Mangaldas, L&S, Fox Mandal & Co, and AZB & Partners.

Kirat Singh Nagra, former Amarchand Mangaldas Principal Associate, has joined the Delhi office of ELP to head the firm’s litigation team replacing Partner Tarun Gulati, who had left the firm with his team.
